Developing a Global Vision

Building a Global vision requires that a company should focus, develop and produce a product that not only will impact a city, state or country but the world as a whole. It's all about breaking barriers such as geographic, political, cultural, economic, social, legal, religious etc. In Chevron's case, its product is an essential commodity; According to its Vision Statement "At the heart of The Chevron Way is our vision ... to be the global energy company most admired for its people, partnership and performance"; right from the existence of the company, it has been driven by this statement to seek more opportunities and discoveries within local market to the international level i.e. by expanding its local and global infrastructure, to capitalize on global talents, reduce cost to maximize cost efficiency, and to achieve the expected quality and the financial goals. Chevron corporation began its global Vision in 1933, when a concession was granted by the Saudi Arabian government to seek for oil on its land; in 1938, it discovered oil . Chevron appears today as one of the world's largest integrated energy companies, also known to be a leader in finding, producing and marketing oil and gas, as well as other energy products. It has already spanned across several geographical locations, having production fields in more than 30 countries in different continents. Chevron's global vision still remains positively strong and that is why it would continue to seek more discoveries. As you are aware, Chevron's main source of resource is 'Crude oil'; a land resource also known as "free gift of nature".
